Veerle is a Bachelor in Speech therapy and Audiology (1989, Arteveldehogeschool Ghent). She specialised in fluency disorders at the Arteveldehogeschool and has since attended workshops by several authorities in the field of fluency disorders.She works as a lecturer in speech-fluency disorders and speech and Language disorders at the Arteveldehogeschool and in her private practice where she focuses on screening, diagnosis and treatment of stuttering, cluttering and and different disorders that effect the clients self-esteem, social aspects of communication (dysphasia, dyspraxia, speech anxiety,...). She is also the co-ordinator of a stuttering-treatment team that consults, counsels, trains and supports family-members and other communication-partners (Individual counselling and parental group sessions, program for teachers). Acts as a facilitator of and takes part in several intervisiongroups according to the ‘Incident method'. The intervision focusses on fluency.

Julia Pape-Neumann is a speech and language therapist. She holds a diploma (equivalent to Master's degree) in Teaching and Research Logopedics and a PhD in Theoretical Medicine. She works as a lecturer in the Department of Speech Therapy at the Training Academy for Health Professions at the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. Her classes as well as her clinical work focus on the diagnosis and treatment of stuttering and cluttering. She supervises the practical training of students in both areas. Some of her research activities on stuttering took place in projects of the German stutterer self-help organization.

She has given presentations at national and international conferences. She also works as a guest lecturer for fluency disorders in Bachelor and Master Courses at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

Mark holds a BA in Speech therapy and Audiology (Thomas More U of Applied Sciences, 1990) and MSc in Clinical Language, Speech and Hearing Sciences (Utrecht University). At Thomas More U of Applied Sciences he lectures in fluency disorders, methodology of SLT, and behaviour analysis, with a special interest in person-centred behaviour change. Right from the start Mark specialized in Fluency and Voice disorders and he has extensive clinical experience in fluency disorders. He was closely involved in several specialization courses and co-founded ECSF/ESS. Mark published various articles and did lectures and workshops nationally and internationally on the treatment of fluency disorders.

Kia Noelle Johnson, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is Director of The University of Texas at Austin’s Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research – Atlanta Satellite, a clinical research institute with the mission to change the world for people who stutter. Dr. Johnson is an ASHA board-certified speech-language pathologist and expert in stuttering with a focus on culturally diverse communities.

Victoria Tumanova, Associate Professor at Syracuse University, USA, directs the Syracuse University Stuttering Research Lab. Her research explores how physiologic, temperamental, and cognitive factors interact to influence speech-motor control and stuttering development in children. The lab's goal is to advance understanding and improve clinical assessment and treatment of stuttering in young children.

Selma is a speech therapist and certified European Stuttering Specialist with 18 years of experience in stuttering, language disorders, and bilingualism. She completed her PhD at the University of Turku (Finland) on disfluencies in bilinguals. She lectures and conducts research at Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, and actively contributes to national and international stuttering organizations.

Dr. Katarzyna Węsierska, ASHA Fellow and associate professor at the University of Silesia, Poland, completed a 3-month internship at the Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research, University of Texas at Austin, as part of the Bekker grant. Consequently, she organized the first Polish CDSL in 2024 and started the CARE Model dissemination in her country.

Joeri van Ormondt, MSc is a speech therapist, specialised stuttering therapist, practice owner and trainer in SLT-courses (RESTART-DCM, CARE-model, neurodiversity-affirming therapy). He is a board member of CESS. He is one of the organisers of 10 editions of Camp DSL in The Netherlands. Joeri is a person who stutters and is an active -and proud- member of the community.

Dr. Joseph G. Agius, M.Sc. (Dublin), Ed.D. (Sheffield), is a Registered European Stuttering Specialist. He holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from Trinity College, University of Dublin and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Sheffield. As partner expert nominated by the University of Malta, Dr. Agius lectures and is on the steering committee of the ‘European Stuttering Specialization’ (ESS).  He is Executive Allied Health Practitioner at the Speech Language Department, Ministry of Health, Government of Malta. He is author of the iOS application ‘Fluency SIS’ - Smart Intervention Strategy for school age children who stutter.

Kurt Eggers is a professor at Ghent U, Thomas More (Belgium), and Turku U (Finland). He is the ESS Chair, WSCO President, CESS Secretary, and associate editor for the Journal of Fluency Disorders.Kurt has worked clinically for many years, lectured/published nationally and internationally, and his research focuses on the role of temperament, attention, and executive functioning in stuttering, and speech disfluencies in different populations.

She is Pegasus Professor at the University of Central Florida, ASHA fellow, USA and European Certified Fluency Specialist and received ASHA’s Certificate for Outstanding Contribution in International Achievement. She is the co-author of the Behavior Assessment Battery and the Communication Attitude Test for Preschoolers and Kindergartners who Stutter.
