Amy Connery
Biography
Amy Connery is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. She holds a BA in Psychology (University College Dublin), a BSc in Clinical Speech and Language Studies (Trinity College Dublin), and a PhD (University of Limerick).
She has twelve years of clinical experience working as a speech and language therapist in paediatric primary care and disability settings in Ireland. Her research interests include evidence-based stuttering interventions for both children and adults, multi-stakeholder co-design of stuttering interventions, the range of variables that influence intervention outcomes (e.g. therapeutic alliance), and Public and Patient Involvement (PPI).
She has published on these topics in a range of peer-reviewed journals, and is also a reviewer for several international journals. She is a member of the Irish Stuttering Special Interest Group, and the Stamma SLT Academics Network.
